Dance Lesson: East Coast Swing from 7:00 - 7:45pm Dance Party: 7:45 - 10:00pm Dance Instructor: Lisa Kirkpatrick DJ: Art Hughes Cost: $10 for members; $15 for guests (non-members) No partner requried! Light refreshments and soft drinks will be provided.

Art Hughes, President of Diamond State Dance Club, will be the DJ for our dance on Friday, June 27. Art started DJing in 2016, and in 2019, he joined the BLS DJ rotation. If youve ever been to one of the dances where Art has been the DJ, you know the music will have you tapping your toes and jumping up to dance. Diamond State Dance Club meets on Wednesday nights at Dreamland Ballroom in Little Rock. Lisa Guerrero Kirkpatrick will be our dance instructor on Friday, June 27. Below is a little more about Lisa and her dance journey. I began my study of dance at the age of 3 under June Landrith with the Metropolitan Ballet of Wichita Kansas. I continued dancing through High School and performed in all performances including Nutcracker every year. I started Ballroom Dancing at the age of 17 and went to work for Arthur Murray Dance Studio in Wichita. Kansas. While working for Arthur Murray Dance Studio. I transferred to Little Rock, Arkansas. I auditioned and became a professional dancer with Ballet Arkansas under the Artistic Director Lorraine Cranford, Marine Migdon, Peter Fairweather, and Richard Stinart. I was the owner and dance director of DanceMakers Dance Studio in Little Rock for 13 years, Otter Creek Community Dance for 12 years. I have continually taught Ballroom, Latin, Swing and Country Western Dancing for the past 40 years. Dancing is my passion and I love sharing it with others!
